John made the move from being an Electronics Engineer (designing telecommunications test gear) into sales and quickly found that the processes needed for sales and engineering success were broadly the same:
Customer has a problem.
We need to design a solution to fix that problem.
The better we understand the problem, the more accurate and resilient the solution.
By applying Engineering principles to sales situations, John has solved complex sales problems leading to multiple sales awards and countless testimonials throughout his sales career.
This has included achieving record level orders and record levels of growth as well as turning failing product sets into the ‘de facto’ industry standard. All of this has been achieved in high tech and innovative solutions industries.
John’s experience includes:
Selling high value, leading edge software to blue chip organisations,
Designing solutions for audio and industrial markets across Europe,
Working with various organisations from SME to Corporate,
Developing and managing business partner networks in various markets both domestically and internationally.
In short, John has extensive sales experience at operational and leadership levels in a wide range of markets selling directly and indirectly both for and to SME’s and Corporates, domestically and internationally.
John is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP), the UK’s only professional body dedicated to improving sales standards, and an ISP Endorsed Training Provider delivering Ofqual approved sales qualifications.
